A BIT ABOUT LAKELAND VEHICLE SOLUTIONS
Lakeland Vehicle Solutions started trading in May 2002. the company was opened by myself, Malcolm Robinson after 20 years of working in UK car dealerships in a variety of roles. I realised that customers and business clients alike needed a vehicle financing solution that offered a much more user friendly and - dare I say it; "old fashioned" customer focused service.
We started by offering car and van leasing through a network of proven contacts, made over my many years in the vehicle business. (Find out more about how this works here). My experience spans vehicle sales (car and commercial); all forms of funding and above all customer care. The business has thrived thanks to a large customer base of loyal clients; many of whom are in their 4th or 5th repeat vehicle supplied by ourselves at Lakeland Vehicle Solutions. It’s a point of immense pride for me that a very high percentage of our new clients are referred or recommended by our existing clients. I hope that our focus on finding solutions for individual people's and businesses' contract hire vehicle requirements has been the reason for our success through the recession. We are hugely grateful to our existing customers for passing on those recommendations and you have our word that you will continue to be the focus of our efforts.
Our business operates from an idyllic location just outside the village of Burton in Kendal in the South Lakes, and is adjacent to farm land and a small wood leading onto the fells. We operate a in a permanent dress down style and we don’t stand on ceremony. In fact, I usually work with my faithful black Labrador Micky at my feet (so if you hear barking in the background – don’t be alarmed! It’s probably just the postman!).
We offer a personal, bespoke vehicle contract hire service. We work hard to ensure that your customer experience is positive and helpful; not like that which you would encounter with many online businesses. We know all too well from each new clients' tales of ‘high pressure sign up today or lose the deal tactics’; that leave an unsatisfactory taste in the mouth and frequently an overly expensive lease or a completely unsuitable vehicle. We actually try to slow the process down, to understand our customers’ needs and wants. We guide you gently into considering what offers best value. Yes we do have example deals on our website but we treat every customer as an individual and have discovered (repeatedly!) that it’s rare to find two clients alike. We listen more than talk as we want to be sure we’ve interpreted your requirements correctly.
Its only once we have the whole picture can we put together a reasoned proposal.
